The Gramercy Park Hotel closed it's doors during the winter of 2005 and has reopened under new management by Ian Schrager.  The hotel reopened in August 2006 and has been redecorated by my old boss, Julian Schnabel.  Paintings by Julian Schnabel, Jean Michel-Basquiat, Cy Twombly and Andy Warhol are dramatically displayed against tinted concrete walls.

A variety of textures greet you as you walk into the lobby of the Gramercy Park Hotel.   Raw cedar ceilings and Douglas fir trimmed pillars boldly combine with velvet furnishings in deep reds, purples and greens.  A signature sandlewood candle created especially for the GPH gives the lobby a spicy scent.  On the right is the entrance to the Jade Bar.

There's a new angle on the front desk.  It's been turned 90 degrees to give more room for seating areas.  To the right is a working fireplace.  For more information visit www.gramercyparkhotel.com
